I had no plans to go to college after high school and no idea what I wanted to do for a living. My grandfather told me that I needed to learn a trade. Being the in the jewelry business himself, he set up my first apprenticeship with a diamond setter. From there, I apprenticed with a few other diamond setters, learning different techniques from each one of them. In 1992, I opened up my own workshop. Every day I am grateful that my grandfather set up that first apprenticeship. I love what I do and take enormous pride in my work.
